Our story started when we met in New York City in 2014 and it took us over six years to zero out our net worth after racking up close to $150k in student loans and other debts. We had read books like the four hour work week and had been dreaming of ways to move abroad and get out of the hustle culture of the US. Then the pandemic hit and I went all in on planning our move abroad. By the end of 2020 we sold everything we owned, packed our bags and bought a one way ticket to Mexico.
